Data about new incidents are added to the Crime Data Explorer on the 15th of the following month. Once published, all data are updated on a daily basis. A CSV file containing all public data is available for download using the link below. The file contains following elements:

Agency Name Name of the reporting agency
Agency ORI The National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Originating Agency Identifier (ORI) is a unique, nine-character number that identifies each reporting agency
Shots Fired Reason Reason for discharge of firearm
Incident Level Description Level of incident (Felony, Gross Misdemeanor, Misdemeanor or other) associated with the shots fired
Shots Fired Total number of shots fired
Individuals Total number of individuals involved
Fatality Total number of individuals who died as a result of shots fired
Wounded Total number of individuals injured by shots fired
Other Total number of individuals who did not sustain fatality or injury from shots fired
